a few of my favorite things: holiday gifts under $25
i am definitely feeling the season of giving bug! having family come visit, spending time shopping and entertaining, and feeling the joy of this all make me want to share and give. this week i did my first ever give away, i discovered some great ideas and blogs to read (more on this in a later post), and i found some great buys in the process.

the lollia hand crème is to die for! from the beautiful art work covering the product, to real shea butter with rose buds and jasmine leaves; it is one sensory experience after another when using this stuff. i'd really dig the pink, etched water carafe set next to my bed but have yet to decide on a paint color or possible wallpaper to start the room design with. what are some of your favorite things? ~dana

{ holiday + giveaway }
this is my favorite time of the year, sound cliché, but it is true. the gentle, peaceful snowy presence, chilly temps causing one to bundle, cuddle and light a fire for warmth; warm cups of hot cocoa and coffee and the gentle burning flames of a fire. all of this brings warmth and joy. embracing the quiet brought on by the darkness and cold temperature makes this season more bearable for all. letting the early night and chilly temps affect you but without negative reaction will give you deep peace.
another of my favorite things about this season is giving. giving brings me great joy and the energy exchanged is highly positive, especially if your heart is connected to the exchange. this is my first giveaway on this blog and I couldn't be happier to share this with you all!

My Favorite BB Cream and Tinted Moisturizer
A reader posted and is looking for a new foundation and/or BB cream. My absolute favorite, light-weight foundation is the oil-free tinted moisturizer from Laura Mercier. The coverage is just right for everyday use and can be layered for additional coverage. It gives my skin a healthy glow equal to that of my skin in my 30's! I like the oil-free version (she makes a regular one) as my skin tends to be a tad bit oily. For more coverage, I wear Clinique's Age Defense BB cream. It has anti-oxidants, aging protection, SPF of 30 and is rich enough that I can skip moisturizer. Truly a great one-step, do-it-all foundation. Snag Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer at Sephora and the BB cream at any upscale retailer. B beautiful inside and out. Love and Happy Ch'i, Dana
