Welcome to My New Blog on Life, Beauty, Feng Shui and the Tao

This is the first post of many more to come. My name is Dana Casey and for the last 12 years, my life has been that of a stay-at-home momma. It has been a wonderful journey, my dream life, my dream job, but life changes and evolves and like life itself, I adapt and grow with changes.  As much as I may resist this change, it happens never-the-less as water ebbs and flows, so must I.

Part of my life philosophy, and why I am writing this blog, is the Tao, based on the Tao Te Ching, a book of wisdom written by Lao Tzu as early as the sixth century B.C. It is a work of spiritual enlightenment and makes no religious stance, it simply is the essence of life itself manifested as words. It is the knowing, the quiet space between words and time that just is. Unexplainable, yet deeply felt. It's the feeling you have when something so beautiful and profound takes you breath away and you feel awe, lightness and complete openness of your heart and mind. This is Tao. It is an energy, a feeling, a way of being so peaceful and honest that is cannot fully be understood through words or deeds, it must be felt.

This blog is not to focus on the writing of the Tao Te Ching, although I will reference it from time to time. This blog is my version of the Tao mixed in with my formal training as a Feng Shui practitioner, my passion for beauty in all forms and a love of learning, life, creating and helping others build their inner and outer sanctuaries. It is an expression of all things held deeply within my soul and heart.

Please join me on this journey, this path of tao, of lightness and love and all things beautiful.

Love and happy ch'i,
Dana
