I'll be painting swatches in all of the rooms in the house as you suggest to see how lighting affects the paint. To be really be happy with your choice, you may have to get some samplers and paint them on your wall; check them throughout the day as different light comes in... A white that has some pink undertones, or coordinates nicely with pink (like a green or blue undertone), would suit your aesthetic, in my opinion. :) Maybe try Benjamin Moore's Swiss Coffee....
